Castle Lane Road Closure, 21st June 2017

3/224 Castle Lane, Moreton Valence – Amey Ref 22014729

What:                   Road closures for carriageway patching

Where:                 Castle lane – see attached for details of the exact location

When:                  21st June, mobile road closures from 0730 to 1730 daily

On behalf of Gloucestershire County Council, Amey will shortly be patching sections of the carriageway at the above location to repair localised faults and improve the condition of the road.

To ensure the safety of road users and our workforce, it is necessary for us to close the road to through traffic while this work is being done because of the road width and machinery that will be used.

We will be patching in multiple locations along the stretch of road marked in red on the map attached.  Each area being patched will need its own localised road closure.  Although we can’t give exact times and locations for these localised closures, we will have a gateman at each end to manage access for residents when it is safe to do so.  There may be some short delays and your patience is appreciated.

This work is in advance of a surface dressing treatment being applied to the full site in the summer 2017.

Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation.  If you have any queries please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions leaflet delivered with this letter, or contact us on 08000 514514 or email GCCHighways@amey.co.uk

Hempstead Recycling Centre Five Day Closure

Five-day closure of Hempsted Household Recycling Centre in June

From 19 to 23 June, Hempsted Household Recycling Centre (HRC) in Gloucester will be closed to finish the work already underway to accommodate more traffic and reduce queues.

The changes will take effect after the June closure and are being made in response to customer feedback and increased use.

The temporary closure is necessary for the work to be completed safely, but the duration has been kept to a minimum.

Work includes extending the upper road area and creating a multiple lane system, as well as increasing the boundary size to accommodate heavy vehicles. The plans will also make it possible for a reuse shop to be added in the future.

Alternative recycling facilities are available at the HRCs at Fosse Cross, Wingmoor Farm, Oak Quarry and Pyke Quarry however residents may prefer to plan their visit before or after the closure dates to avoid potential queues at other sites.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this essential closure.

The full list of household recycling centres is available on www.recycleforgloucestershire.com

Fretherne with Saul Village Plan Final Document 2016

Regards

Fretherne with Saul Parish Council wish to produce a new Parish Plan, taking into account the views of the whole community. The first step is consultation, part of which is this questionnaire, the cost of which has been part-funded by Gloucestershire Rural Community Council. All your responses will be treated in confidence.

Once we have the survey forms back, we will collate all the responses and comments made and draw conclusions and recommendations to include within a new Parish Plan. This will be used to focus the objectives for the Parish Council for the next four years and ensure it is representing your views and focussed on your needs.

Parish Plan Questionnaire

Please place the completed survey within the ziplock bag in which it was delivered and leave it by your door for collection on 2nd or 3rd January.

If you were not able to compete by this time but would still like to submit your response, please post the survey to the Parish Clerk, Geraldine Delbos, at Fairhaven, High street Saul ( the Bungalow on the right hand side of the entrance driveway to Saul Memorial hall) but please post before 10th January.
